Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly event hosted at The Broke and The Bookish

Top Ten Bookish Goals for 2013

I love this topic for this weeks TTT! I was planning on doing a New Year resolution thing for the blog but now this gives me an even better reason to write it!
  1. Comment more on other blogs - being at university and working means I have very little spare time. I've been so bad recently on commenting on other blogs, only commenting on a select few. I want to try to make more time to read and comment on other blogs that I don't normally.
  2. Find new blogs to follow - Since coming back from a blogging break, I haven't followed many new blog at all. I feel as though I'm missing out on some awesome sites and even better reviews!
  3. Read a wider variety of genres - Since starting university, I have begun to read more and more outside of the YA genre. I like having a wide range of reviews on the blog now and I want this to continue.
  4. Read the Harry Potter series - I've been saying I will finally get around to reading this for years now and I think 2013 will finally be the year to do it!
  5. Make my blog more personal - At the minute, I don't feel as though my blog is my own. Instead of having my personality, it is just reviews being posted every day but that comes down to being too busy. I really want to put more of myself into my blog and let my readers get to know me better so I am to try to write more personal posts about my life, what's happening and what I'm doing etc.
  6. Spend more time on twitter - This one could be a really bad choice but I miss Twitter and talking about books with others. I also miss hearing about what's going on in the blogging world and seeing what other people are reviewing. Twitter is so much easier for finding reviews than trawling through my Google Reader (which I'm actually too scared to look at).
  7. Read more books set in Paris - I love books set in other places, especially Paris. Although I have never been, I love reading about it.
  8. Read more non-fiction - I've never been one to read non-fiction but recently, I have felt like trying something new and maybe reading a couple of biographies.
  9. E-Books - Now that I finally have a Kindle, I'm hoping to change my review policy to include E-Books.
  10. Buy bookcases - This may seem like a bit of a silly one but the flat my fiance and I share when I'm not at university does not have bookcases. My Mum bought me one for Christmas but if you know me, you know that is not enough for all of my books, let alone John's.

  1. Loving these goals & the inspiration = I can really relate to commenting on more blogs. I love comments and definitely could work on returning the favor more often.

  2. I feel the same way about making my blog more personal. Plus, I'm notoriously bad at writing reviews!
Hope you reach all of your goals and you get a new bookcase or three. Empty shelves means you can have fun filling them up ;)

  4. I like your goals. I would agree with the goal on making the blog more personal. Mine is so not personal. I am never sure how much to give.
Thanks for sharing your goals. I may follow.

  5. I'm with you on the commenting on other blogs thing! I got so busy the last few weeks/months that I just didn't had the time anymore. That's about to change! And you have to read the Harry Potter series! They're so amazing!

Good luck with reaching your goals!
